First Community Cleanup

The Start of Something Great

Our community cleanup on August 21st marked a significant milestone for the Dunia Planet Foundation.

When the sun rose over Kilimanjaro, more than 50 local volunteers gathered equipped with gloves, bags, and an unshakable resolve to remove plastic waste from the trails.

What We Achieved

• 500 kg of plastic bottles collected and sent to local recyclers.
• 10 local schools participated in the awareness program.
• Established 3 new permanent collection points.

This isn’t just about cleaning up a mountain; it’s about shifting the cultural mindset toward a circular economy where “waste” becomes a valuable resource for local artisans and manufacturers. We are incredible proud.
